GroupSpot lets you create a splinter group, a temporary group, or repurpose a group of similar nature by cloning your existing group and membership into a new group.
1. From your group menu, go into your Group Settings and select Organization.
2. Choose Clone Group from the options.
3. At the top of the new screen, add the name of your new group unless you want to keep the default which is just your current group name plus “(clone)”.
4. Next, decide if you want to clone all your members or just select ones. For all members, toggle all members on. For teams with rostered players, toggle on clone the roster.
5. If you want to handpick individual members into the new group, go through the full list and deselect the members you’ve chosen not to carry over.
6. When everything is in order, click on the green Clone button.
It’s important to note that the new group clones your current identity, member directory, and roster if you’re a team with this feature on. It does not clone the existing feed content or the history of the full group chat.
