Setting your personal notifications is important in determining how you interact with your group. Some people want the notifications and use them as reminders to see new content, while others prefer to have certain notifications off. Either way, GroupSpot gives members the ability to set their notifications on a group-by-group basis.
When you get to your personal notifications screen, you can decide how you want to receive notifications across admin communications, new posts, new comments, event reminders, group and personal chat. Here’s how to get started:
1. From your group home screen, tap on your Menu Icon.
2. Select Settings from the menu.
3. At the top of your settings screen, select Notifications listed under Personal Settings.
4. Use the toggles to turn on or off Banner, Badge, or Email from the various communication types: Admin Communications, New Posts, New Comments, Event Reminders, Group and Personal Chat.
5. Tap the Back Icon to save and exit your settings screen.
Once you’ve made your selections, you should be set. If you ever need to change these settings, it’s easy to do. Just follow the same instructions above to return to your notifications screen and make your new changes.
