Your Profile Visibility is where you go to make your personal contact information available to other members of your group to see. This includes your private contact details and your public social media.
On GroupSpot, we take your privacy seriously. You will notice that your personal contact details and your public social media are turned off by default. To make your personal details visible to your group, it’s a two-step process: a) update your profile and then b) make your profile details visible to your group.
If you’re new to GroupSpot or this is your first time visiting your profile visibility settings, you will need to update your profile first before making these details visible to the group.
1. To access your profile visibility, open your group menu and choose Settings.
2. Select Profile Visibility from your Personal Settings.
3. To add your private contact details and your public social media to your profile, select Update Your Profile.
4. On your profile screen, add the details you’re comfortable sharing on GroupSpot.
In the scenario that you have already filled out your profile, you will see your profile information under each field (Mobile, Email, Address, etc.). For the items not filled out on your profile, it reads Not yet added. To make your personal information visible to your group, toggle on the rows you’re comfortable sharing.
One thing that separates GroupSpot from the rest of the pack is that you can adjust your profile visibility on a group-by-group basis. For instance, you may be comfortable sharing your address in one group, but not in another. You can make these determinations group-by-group based on your privacy and comfort levels.
