Signups make it easy to share the workload. They’re fun to create and can be attached to any post. Once the Signup is posted, it’s easy for an Owner or Admin to assign members to the individual tasks after the fact. This is especially helpful when someone gives you a verbal confirmation on a Signup item and you want to make everyone aware the item is already accounted for. Let’s take a close look at how you would assign a member to an individual task item.
1. From your feed, tap into the post with the Signup.
2. Find the list item which you want to assign to a member from the list of Signups.
3. Tap on the ••• to the right of the list item to open a menu.
4. Choose Assign to a Member.
5. From the new screen, select the member from the list of members who you would like to assign this task to by tapping on the circle next to their name.
6. Once selected, you will see the person’s name and avatar assigned to that list item.
Once you’ve assigned the Signup item to someone, it’s equally easy to unassign them if things change. Just follow the same instructions above and notice that when you tap the ••• next to the member you want to remove, the menu will now say Unassign Member which removes the member from the task.
Assigning and unassigning members to a Signup works not only for other members, but also works for yourself if you volunteer for an item and then suddenly have to change your status. These tools provide an easy way to keep a close tabs on your Signup list.
