How to Change an Admin’s Status from Admin to Member

There are times when an Owner of the group needs to change the status of their Admin back to a regular Member. There may have been some natural passing of the torch or perhaps some more immediate change in leadership needed that prompted the change. Whatever the reason, GroupSpot makes it easy for an Owner to demote an Admin back to Member. Here’s how to make this happen:

1. Open your Membership Directory from tapping the short cut on your group’s home screen or by selecting Members inside your group menu.

2. Locate the Admin whose status you want to change from the list of Organizers and tap on their name.

3. Once their individual profile is open, tap the blue Manage Member button.

4. Under the Membership header, tap on the Roles & Permissions row.

5. On the next screen, you will see the Admin box highlighted with a blue check mark.

6. To change their status from Admin to Member just tap the empty circle to select on the Member row at the top of the screen.

7. The blue check mark has now been changed to Member status.

8. Tap the back arrow to return to the Membership Directory.
