If you’re looking to cross-post content across like groups, Sister Groups come in extra handy. Sister Groups are especially handy when sending communications across multiple teams, across multiple chapters within an organization, or even across multiple schools in a district.
1. From your group’s home screen, open your group menu at the top of your screen and choose Group Settings.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the list and select Organization and then Sister Groups.
3. Select Sister Groups to view all your available groups you can connect with. Important note, you must be an Owner in both groups in order to connect sister groups.
4. Once you have chosen the Sister Group you want to have a cross-posting relationship with, hit SAVE.
Once you’ve established the Sister Group relationship, the next step is using them across your posts and mass communications.
1. Choose your post type to begin the create post flow.
2. On the create post screen, tap on the Audience row.
3. Once selected, you will see a row for Subgroups (if they are being used) and a second row to Notify Sister Groups. Tap on Notify Sister Groups.
4. On the new screen, you will see a list of Sister Groups to choose from to initiate the cross-post.
5. Choose the Sister Group and tap DONE to save.
6. Once your Subgroups and Sister Groups are in order, tap DONE again to return to your main create post screen.
7. Once you have the other details of your post in order, tap Post.
8. Your post will deliver to your primary group and any Sister Groups selected.
1. Open your group menu and select Communications.
2. Choose from the first three options if you are looking to use Sister Group communications: Push Notification, In-App Alert, or Email.
3. After you’ve added your message, choose the appropriate Subgroups (if available) and Sister Groups. Tap Notify Sister Groups to choose which groups you want to cross-promote your communications.
4. Select the Sister Group and tap DONE.
5. When you communication is ready to go, tap SEND.
