Multi-Person chats are fun and easy to start on GroupSpot. The best part about a multi-person chat is that you don’t need to have all these people in your contacts to reach them. This is a great way for members of the same group to connect with each other without all the extra work. Let’s look at how to start a multi-person chat on mobile and web:
1. Locate and select the Chat icon in your lower navigation.
2. You will find two tabs up top, Personal and Group. Make sure the Personal tab is selected to access your personal chats.
3. Then tap the + at the top right of this screen to access and/or add a multi-person chat.
4. If you belong to more than one group, you will need to first pick the group from which the members you want to chat with belong.
5. Once selected, choose from the list of members with whom you would like to start your multi-person chat. Select the checkboxes and then press the green CHAT button to get started.
When using GroupSpot on the web, your chat panel may already be open. If your browser view is widescreen, Chat will always be open and available in the right-most column.
If your browser view is narrow, GroupSpot will automatically adjust and could reduce the number of visible columns. In this case, Chat will live as an icon to select in your lower navigation similar to the mobile experience.
Once you’ve selected the Personal tab, follow the instructions above to start a multi-person chat.
After you’ve initiated your multi-person chat, you have several options available to you in the event there’s a bad actor in your chat. You can block another member or just leave the chat. And if you change your mind, you can unblock that member as well
