How to Create Public and Private Folders in the Vault

The Vault gives your group a home for important information, organized into folders that can be shared with everyone or reserved for admins. It's the perfect place to preserve files, documents, and other resources that don't need to live on your group feed. Here's how to get started.

1. Open Group Settings from your group menu and select Features.

2. Under the General header, turn on the Vault

3. Leave and reenter your group. The Vault will now appear on your home screen and in your group menu.

4. Tap Add to Vault or the + icon to add content.

5. To create a public folder, tap the Folder icon, give your folder a name, and tap CREATE FOLDER. Public folders are visible to everyone in the group.

6. To make a private folder visible to admins only, toggle on Admin Only before creating it.

7. To move an existing post into a folder, tap the ••• menu on the post, select Move to Folder, and choose a folder.

8. To add a new post to an existing folder, open the folder, tap the ••• menu, and select your folder of choice.

With your folders in place, The Vault becomes a central home for your group's most valuable information, making it easy for the right people to find the right content when they need it.
