At GroupSpot, privacy is paramount. That’s why we choose to be ad-free, algorithm-free, influencer-free, and thus, subscription-based. And this approach filters down to you on a user level, especially when you want to delete anything on GroupSpot. When you delete, your content is actually deleted, and not just “deleted.” Unlike others, we do not secretly retain your data, hide it from you, and simply tell you it’s deleted. Here’s how to get started:
Deleting your post from your feed is simple to do. Locate the post you want to remove, tap on the ••• on that post, and select Delete from the menu to remove.
Deleting a comment you’ve left on a post starts with locating the post with the comment. Tap into the post and scroll down to the comments. Find the comment you want to delete and tap the ••• to open the menu. Select Delete to remove your comment.
Deleting a photo from your post is easy to do with a simple edit. Find the post you want to edit, tap the •••, and choose Edit from the menu. Below the post title and description, you will see a section for Photos. Tap into that row to access the photos attached to your post. Tap on the photo or photos you want to remove and hit the garbage can icon to delete. A warning message will appear but select Yes when asked if you want to delete the photo in question. When you return to your post, remember to hit Save.
Deleting a message you’ve left in chat starts with opening chat and finding the message you want removed. Once located, double tap on the text that you want deleted. Then choose Delete from the menu of choices to remove your chat message.
If you’re an Owner of a group and you’ve decided you want to delete the group you created, you can. This mostly happens when new admins create test groups to try the platform out before bringing their large group over. Once they choose GroupSpot, they then want to delete those test groups. From your Settings inside your Group Menu, scroll to the bottom of the menu to Owner Actions and DELETE GROUP.
Deleting your GroupSpot account starts with selecting the profile icon from your list of groups screen that appears when you open GroupSpot. That will open your Account screen where you will find Account Actions at the bottom of the list. Tap that row and choose DELETE ACCOUNT from the next screen. You will see a second warning modal appear to which you would select Delete Your Account to move forward.
GroupSpot gives you the tools to delete everything yourself, but should you still need to contact us for assistance, you can do so at help@groupspot.app.
