GroupSpot gives you the flexibility to sync your events and games to your mobile device or to your external calendar. And for teams, you can sync the full program’s schedule or sync just your team subgroup. You can even sync standalone events or games to your local device. Let’s review how to stay in sync.
1. To sync a standalone event or game to your phone’s calendar, locate and click into the desired post.
2. Next to time and date, select the Add to Phone button.
3. When the confirmation modal asks if you want to add the event or game to your phone’s calendar, choose Yes.
4. Now your event or game is saved locally on your phone’s calendar.
1. To sync full schedules or a subgroup’s schedule to your phone or external calendar, start by opening your group menu and choosing Group Calendar.
2. Select the ••• icon at the top right of the screen to open the menu.
3. Choose Sync to Calendar from the menu options.
4. Arriving at the next screen, you need to choose between Sync to Device Calendar and Sync to External Calendar.
5. If you want the events and games locally on your phone, sync to your device. But if you want to sync to an external calendar like Google, Yahoo, or something else, choose sync to external calendar.
6. For teams, if you are assigned to one team subgroup, you will not see the other team’s subgroup events and games on your calendar. This is especially helpful in high school when a Varsity parent doesn’t want or need to see a JV or Freshman schedule and vice versa.
